Products containing asbestos are still legal in the United States. An article on PRWeb states that the government may not track newer asbestos-containing products. The Environmental Protection Agency “does not track the manufacture, processing, or distribution in commerce of asbestos-containing products. It would be prudent for a consumer or other buyer to inquire as to the presence of asbestos in particular products.”
