Florida Man Files Asbestos Claim
On April 22, a Florida man filed a claim against 66 different corporations citing that he was exposed to asbestos during his employment as a boiler mechanic.
The man was diagnosed with mesothelioma on March 18. For almost 40 years he worked as a boiler mechanic and claims that the products used during employment contained asbestos even though safer alternatives were available.
He claims that his mesothelioma is caused from the negligence of his employers to provide an asbestos-free working environment. He states that his employers failed to advise employees of proper hygiene practices that reduce the potential of carrying asbestos fibers home in clothing.
Mesothelioma is a rare form of lung cancer that is caused from exposure to asbestos.
Mesothelioma attorneys are currently working on cases that involve serious illness resulting from exposure to asbestos caused by negligence.
