Florida Family Wins Multi-Million Dollar Asbestos Lawsuit
On April 28, 2008, a Florida jury awarded a family over $24 million in an asbestos lawsuit. The plaintiff, Stephen Guilder was diagnosed with mesothelioma in 2007.
The suit was filed against Honeywell International, Inc. The suit claimed that Guilder was exposed to Honeywell’s asbestos brakes during the 70’s and 80’s. The suit contented that the asbestos exposure was negligent on the part of Honeywell.
The $24 million verdict is the largest asbestos decision in the state of Florida against a single defendant.
Asbestos attorneys are working on cases in which serious illness was caused due to the negligence of another.
