Asbestos was once thought of as the “miracle mineral” because of its fireproof qualities, used in all different kinds of safety equipment as well as manufactured products. However, there can be serious (often fatal) health problems that can arise through exposure. What will the next “miracle mineral” be? “With conduct like this, we wonder what the title of ‘justice’ really stands for.” “The Texas Supreme Court has become a public spectacle. It’s bad enough that a majority of the Court performs as a wholly owned subsidiary of Texans for Lawsuit Reform. Now it’s apparent that a third of the judges — Nathan Hecht, Paul Green, and David Medina — have no compunction about flouting ethics rules by using campaign funds as a piggybank for their personal travel to and from work. Texas Watch has filed complaints against all three judges with the Texas Ethics Commission.”

Asbestos is in things that one would least expect.  Today people have come to realize that there is asbestos in certain factories, types of insulation, certain joint compound products, etc.  These are not the only places that asbestos is found.  It is obvious that our children are not even safe.  As recent as December 2007 there was asbestos found in children’s toys, and many household products that are not listed on the EPA website.  The Asbestos Disease Awareness Organization (ADAO) tested many products to see if asbestos was present.  They found that asbestos was present in the following:
